Mrs Delphia Henry dies age 79
Mrs Delphia Henry, died Jan 17, at home of daughter, Mrs Ada Snow.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Hopwell Cemetery with Rev. A.L. Connor, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev W.B. Wages She is survived by the following children; Mrs Ada Snow, Mrs Ida Hennard, Marquez, Mrs Nora spikes, Barney H Henry, Houston; Oran "Bunk" Henry, Concord; Marvin "Bud" Henry, San Angelo;Robert Henry, J B Henry, Plommer and Walter Henry, Channelview She is also survived by 39 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and a sister Mrs Molly Storey, Jewett. All ten of her children attended the funeral.

Mrs Henry was born Dec 16, 1868 at Chickasaw, Mississippi. She and Ben F Henry were married at Flynn, Nov 2, 1882. Mr Henry died Feb 5, 1940, ending a married life that lasted for 58 years.

Mrs Henry united with Gum Springs Methodist Church near Flynn about 1885. She made her home with her daughter, Mrs Ada Snow, for the past 20 years.

A pioneer resident of the normangee and Flynn Communities. Mrs Henry was highly esteemed and respected as a dutiful wife, loving and conscentious mother and grandmother She was loved and revered by all her children and numerous grandchildren Her influence will be felt for generations to come in the lives of her descendents who will be ???? by the sweet life she lived.
