Upon retirement, G.G. lived on Saint Simon's Island, GA. Needless to say, she was well-known for her kindness, strictness of manners and keeping everyone in line. G.G. was a dear friend of Eugenia Price, author of many novels about the Golden Isles of Georgia.
G.G. was a colorful storyteller and for that we all are richer in our family history. Upon her request, G.G. was cremated and her ashes were scattered along the beach at Saint Simon's, Island, a place she loved so well.
