Dean Wayne Covington passed away Sept. 29, 1992 after a short illness.
Born July 17, 1927 in Los Angeles, California to Henry Esplin and Viva Jones Covington. Married Evelyn Allred, June 25, 1958 at Salt Lake City, Utah.Survived by his wife; children, Kathleen Matthews, Dwayne Covington, Janice Baker, Lynn and Alden Covington, Cristine Matthews, Mark, Daniel, Jason, Joshua, Allia, Roseanna and Laura Covington; also his mother, Viva Jones Putnam; brothers and sisters, Norman, Randy, Daniel, Stanley, Yvonne Hoff, Loa Maranhao, and Darla Knowlton; 17 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, Henry; brothers and sisters, Marcia, Dale, Robin, Alden Covington and Renon Beatty.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday., October 3, 1992 at 1224 West 16580 South, Bluffdale, with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Viewing to also be held Friday 7-9 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy. Interment, Rocky Ridge Cemetery, Mona, Utah.
