Bennie Minnis Amox was the son of Jesse Bright Amox and Sarah Frances Odell. He was born 10 Sep 1892 in Avinger, Cass, Tx (per death certificate). Although he was living in Hughes Springs, Cass Co., TX at the time. He died of pneumonia in the Hospital of the Pines in Lone Star, Morris Co., TX after a 5 day stay.
He married first Rosie Lenora Muckleroy, daughter of Joseph Muckleroy and Mary (Corneliuson) Howell on 02 Mar 1913 in Upshur Co., Texas. He married second Alice (Crider) Merrit.
He had the following children with Rosie Muckleroy:

Claiborne O. Amox
Evelyn Dell Amox m William "Bill" Fort
Joe Lane Amox born 1926 and died 1932 when he was sadly struck by a vehicle at such a young age.
Bennie showed he worked as a Heavy Equipment Driver for Continental Oil Company (oddly enough, though I never had the honor of sharing stories with him, this is the same company I work for today) on his WWI draft registration. He also later showed he worked as a Teamster, although all census records I have found showed he was a farmer.
1900: Justice Precinct 8, Cass, Texas he is found at Age: 7 Marital Status: Single; Relation to Head of House: Son.
1910: Justice Precinct 8, Cass, Texas
1920: Justice Precinct 5, Upshur, Texas he is found at Age: 29 Marital Status: Married; Relation to Head of House: Head.
1930: Precinct 1, Upshur, Texas he is found at Age: 37 Marital Status: Married; Relation to Head of House: Head.
He married Alice Crider after the death of Rosie Muckleroy. She was the daughter of Martin Mathias Crider and Martha Harriet Lewis. Her FAG link shows she was buried with the last name of Merritt, this was her first husband, Vernon Merritt, who she married around 1915. I have no info of Alice having any children with either husband.
Rosie died well before I was born and Bennie died soon after I was born. I have no memories of Rosie and very little of Bennie. But Alice did stay in touch with my family until her death in 1983.
