In failing health for the past year, Mrs. Bailey was confined to bed for fourteen weeks before her death.
She was born at Mooers Forks, N.Y. on Nov. 15, 1876, and spent her youth there. After her marriage to Henry Morin in that village the family moved to Montreal where they lived for six years, until his death. She returned to Mooers Forks and was married there in 1910 to Arthur Bailey, one of Tupper Lake's early settlers, who survives her. The family home has since been in Tupper.
Mrs. Bailey was a communicant of St. Alphonsus Church and a member of the Ladies of St. John's Society, Council 405.
Surviving are one son, Lawrence Morin, Faust; one daughter, Miss Theresa Bailey, Tupper Lake; four stepsons, John, Oscar and Albert Bailey, Tupper Lake, and Daniel Bailey, Montreal; three step-daughters, Mrs. Yvonne Cerat, Mrs. Alma Renault and Mrs. Grace Costongeuay, all of Montreal.
Also six brothers, William Bosley, Boston, Mass.; Lemmie and Frank Bosley, Mooers Forks; Fred, of Ellenburg; Joseph, of Barrington, P.Q. and Zephie Bosley of Lynn, Mass.; and six sisters: Mrs. Emma Favreau of Clinton, Mass.; Mrs. Marceline Fortin, of Montreal; Mrs. Lizzie Penell of of Ellenburg; Mrs. Minnie LaFountain of West Peters Fort, N.H.; Mrs. Mary Lashway of Redford, N.Y. and Mrs. Rose Favreau of Plattsburg. There are 31 grandchildren surviving.
