OBITUARY: "Mrs. Clara Marie Susee, 86-year-old former Gervais resident, died Wednesday at a Mt. Angel nursing home where she had been living the past six years.
Born in Minnesota, she moved to Washington in 1905 and 15 years later settled with her family in Gervais. She and her husband, the late John Susee, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary here in 1940. He preceded her in death in 1946.
Survivors include two sons, Maurice A. Susee, Gervais, and Ewald F. Susee, Mt. Angel; four daughters, Mrs. Adelle Lundy, Nyssa, Mrs. Blanche Dickenson, Sheridan, Mrs. Alice Brockenbraugh, Rockaway, and Mrs. Ethelay Gagner, California; 38 grandchildren and 87 great-grandchildren.
Recitation of rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Unger Funeral chapel in Mt. Angel and at 8 p.m. the same day at Sacred Heart Church, Gervais. Requiem mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Francis Hanley officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Gervais."
