Mr. Brillhart was born in York, on March 15, 1934, the son of the late William Franklin and Pearl (Shepp) Brillhart.
Mr. Brillhart is survived by nine children: Linda Mann and her husband, Michael J., of York; Norman C. Kile, of Red Lion; Darla Mandrell and her husband, David, of Blum, Texas; Deborah Poet, of York; Sharon Harvey and her husband, Don, of Rendon, Texas; John Kile and his wife, Jane, of Indian Bayou, La.; Todd Brillhart and his wife, Diana, of Kopperl, Texas; Thresa Sheffer and her husband, Bradley, of Kopperl, Texas; and Richard E. Brillhart, of Dallastown. Mr. Brillhart is also survived by a brother, Paul Brillhart, of York; and a sister, Gerry Kline, of York; 133 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Brillhart was employed for nine and a half years at Catepillar, then at Bell Helicopter Tixtron in Texas for thirty-three years prior to his retirement. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He loved to work with wood and was an avid fisherman.
Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
