Robert Long Green, 88, Butler, Mo., formerly of Drexel, Mo., died Wednesday Oct 25, 2000 st Bates County Memorial Hospital, Butler. Services were Oct. 28 at the Atkinson Chapel in Adrian, Mo., with the Rev. Anthony Kelley officiating. Interment in Sharon Cemetery, Drexel, under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Adrian.

Mr. Green was born Sept. 20, 1912 in the Lone Tree area of Cass County, Mo. He was one of 10 children of William T. and Emma Lee Green. He grew up around the Drexel area. He Married Rhoda Bell Pieratt on Aug 17, 1935. They were the parents of two children, both of whom died at birth- Geraldine, April 1, 1936 and Mary Frances, March 26, 1937. He was a farmer most of hos life in the Drexel area. After selling his farming operation he moved to Drexel and worked at the Drexel Elevator and the Drexel school for a few years before moving to Kansas City and working at the Center School District. He retired in 1975 and had lived in Butler for the last few years. He was also preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.

He leaves his wife of the home; two sisters; nieces and nephews.
