Eppsey Edward Bush was the son of Shadrick Wesley Bush and Euphemia [Vanness] Bush. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on July 8, 1878. Before the age of two years, Eppsey's mother Euphemia passed away and his father moved the family to northeast Texas. It is there that Eppsey met and married Mary Elizabeth Wilson on September 11, 1898 in the small town of Paris in Lamar County. After the birth of Eppsey's and Mary's second child, the family moved to Oklahoma where their third and last child was born. On March 16, 1919, Eppsey and Mary were visiting in Bartlesville when they were involved in an automobile accident, killing Eppsey. The funeral and burial were in Tulsa at the Rose Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park on March 18, 1919.
Eppsey was preceeded in death by his parents, Shadrick and Euphemia; a brother, George A. Bush; and his grandmother, Delpha [Collins] Bush and his step-mother, Catherine [Bolton] Bush.
Survivors are his wife, Mary [Wilson] Bush; daughter, Carrie Mae Bush; two sons, Bun Bush and Robert Leon Bush; brothers, Jarrett Wesley, Sydney M., Ulysses L., and David Ad Bush; sisters, Annie and Alice Bush.
