Mrs. Jean Gibbs, 52, Widow of Charles Gibbs, died Tuesday morning at the home of her aunt, Miss Jennie Newton, in Blairstown, after a long illness. She was born Dec. 6, 1894, at Watkins. She was a member of Blairstown Presbyterian church and served a number of terms as president of the social circle of the church. She also was a member and former oracle of Blairstown camp, Royal Neighbors, and a member of Rebekah lodge in Cedar Rapids. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Hilbert Herron of Blairstown; one grandson; her aunt; one half-brother and two half-sisters. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Blairstown Presbyterian church by the Rev. Edward Mohr. Burial will be in Mound cemetery, Watkins.
