Services for Berwick woman to be Wednesday
Mabel E. (Smith) Joline, 68, of Martz Street, Berwick, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born July 13, 1942, in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late George and Mabel (Williams) Smith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her adoptive parents: Harry and Mary Boyes; infant siblings: Raymond and Arlene Smith, and a great-grandson, Kaleb Kurtz.
Surviving is her husband and companion of 41 years, Wayne Joline; stepmother Anna Smith of Berwick; two daughters: Shelly Killian Fauntleroy of Allentown, and Sherry Kay and her husband James DiFebo, of Bloomsburg; three sons: Kurtis Killian and his wife Rose, of St. Augustine, Fla.; Kriss Killian of Missouri; Harry P. Joline of Berwick; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mabel is also survived by four sisters: Alberta Casterline of Hunlock Creek; Sylvia and her husband Larry Wample of Berwick; Virginia and her husband Stephen Britton of Berwick; Gloria and her husband Walter Hartman of Berwick; five brothers: George E. Smith and his wife Joy of Shickshinny; Robert Smith and his wife Katherine of Shickshinny; Raymond Smith and his wife Barbara of Monks Corner, S.C.; David Smith and his wife Linda of Orangeville; John Smith and his wife Katherine of Monks Corner, S.C.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at noon, at the Mayo Funeral Home Inc., 110 Chestnut St., Berwick, with Pastor Laura Casterline of New Birth Ministries, Lightstreet, officiating. Interment will be in Bloomingdale Cemetery.
