Victor E. Zehner, 50, died Sunday morning at his home at 918 East Winona Avenue as the result of a heart ailment from which he had suffered for the past four and one-half years. Mr. Zehner and his wife, who was formerly Bertha Crist, to whom he was married June 28, 1927, came from Monterey, Ind., 19 years ago to Warsaw where he was engaged in the shoe repair business. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was affiliated with the Holy Name Society, the American Legion, and the Eagles lodge of this city. The deceased was born at Monterey, Ind., Jan. 24, 1896, the son of Edward and Agnes (Fox) Zehner. In addition to his wife, of this city, he leaves his mother, Mrs. Edward Zehner, two sisters, Miss Clara Zehner and Miss Anna Zehner, and three brothers, William, August, and Anthony Zehner, all of Monterey; also a brother, Francis, of Knox; and three sisters, Mrs. Gregory Hartman of Plymouth, Mrs. Leroy Smith of South Bend, and Mrs. Donald Keller, of North Judson. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Church with the pastor Rev. W. P. Mannion officiating. Burial will be at Monterey. The body was removed from the Bibler funeral home to the residence where friends will be recieved.
