Susan Kay Eaton, 58, passed away at her residence on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born May 16, 1952, in Lima, the daughter of the late Frank and Vivian (Kiser) Edmiston.

She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, John Eaton; a daughter, Kristi (Joseph) Loomis; and grandsons, Bryce and Ryan Loomis; sister-in-law, Rebecca (Robert) Caldwell; and three nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by their son, Brian Eaton.

Susan was employed by the State of Ohio for 33 years at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources District Two Indian Lake and Ohio Department of Transportation District Seven in Sidney.

She volunteered through the Ohio Reads Program, helping grade school children learn to read. Her pride and joy were her two grandsons, whom she loved to spoil rotten.

Karen Blackburn will officiate a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday. Burial will be in the Huntsville Cemetery.
