ACKERMAN -- In town of Rosendale, October 14, 1924. Captain Edwin DeWitt Ackerman in his 52nd year. Funeral from the residence of his sister Mrs. Rutser Tenhagen at Rosendale village, Friday at 2:30 p.m. Relatives and friends invited. Interment in St. Remy cemetery.

In Poor Health, Takes His Life -- Edwin DeWitt Ackerman, an ex-army captain in the aviation corps, committed suicide Tuesday at Rosendale by shooting himself. Mr. Ackerman had been in a highly nervous condition for some time and came to Rosendale about two months ago for his health, where he was stopping with relatives. Funeral from the home of his sister, Mrs. R. Ten Hagen, at Rosendale, on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment in the St. Remy Cemetery.
