David Darwin Draper
December 3, 1907:

David was born September 2, 1838, in New York, the son of Joseph and Polly (?) Draper. He had two sisters, Mary and Esther.

David Darwin Draper was the father of Ellsworth Draper, Josephine "Josie" Elizabeth Draper (Samuel) Jones and Lillie Draper (Samuel) Craighead, William Moval Draper, Myrtle Draper, Lydia Draper.

David was the husband of Leah Spring Draper, whom he married in 1868.

He was born in September 1838, in New York and came to Missouri and settled in Calwood in the 1800's. He was a farmer and had a large farm in Calwood, Missouri.

He rests beside his wife, Leah, son, Ellsworth and a grandson, Rubin Elmer Draper in New Hope Cemetery in Calwood.. One of his daughters, Lillie Draper Craighead, my great-grandmother, is buried at Ebenezer Babtist Church Cemetery in Fulton and his other daughter, great-aunt Josephine "Josie" Draper Jones is buried in Hillcrest Cemetery in Fulton.

David died about 1907 in Calwood.

Partial Obit: D.D. Draper of Calwood died this week and was buried at Calwood.

He was a prominent citizen but because of a stroke had dropped out of active affairs for a few years.
