Chester was born November 4, 1922 in Kaw City, Oklahoma to McKinley and Ethel (Kelley) Hamilton. He was of the Baptist faith and retired as a brake press operator. He served in the Air Force during World War II.

He is survived by his children: Tammy Smith and husband Robert of Sayre, Pennsylvania; Cheryl Hartman and husband Bob of Muskegon, Michigan; Ronny Hamilton and wife Christine of Utah; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and four brothers, Bob, Vaughn, Bill and John Hamilton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, McKinley and Ethel Hamilton; two sons, Jim and Timmy Hamilton; one brother, Ted Hamilton and two sisters, Edith Highland and an infant sister.

Visitation is 5 – 8 p.m., Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Roller Coffman Chapel, Mtn. View.

Funeral service is 1 p.m., Monday, November 8, 2010 at Roller Coffman Chapel, Mtn. View with Bro. Ron Marlin officiating and interment in Kelley-Ford Cemetery, St. James Community, Mtn. View.

Pallbearers are Paul Wakefield, Johnny Whitfield, Jaden Whitfield, Jacob Whitfield, Mark Willis and Nathaniel Freeman. Honorary pallbearers are Drew Smith, Alex Smith and Jim Hamilton, Jr.
