Mrs. Bessie Hanna Kuhn, 81,
of Smithsburg, Md., died at the Washington County Hospital Thursday evening following a long illness.

The daughter of the late Hanson Clay and Mary Jane (Weddle) Draper of Garfield, Md.

She was born in Garfield, Md. The widow of the late Chester Calvin Kuhn, she was a member of the Mount Bethel United Methodist Church of Garfield,Md. She had been a resident of Smithsburg, for the last five years.

Surviving children are; Mrs. Robert Cline of Cavetown, Md.; Mrs. Clifford Wolfe of Smithsburg, Md.; Mark Kuhn of Hagerstown, Md.; Mrs. Richard Kline of Hagerstown, Md.; Mrs. Merhl Lewis of Largo, Florida., Mrs. Lester Oswald of Smithsburg, Md.; Mrs. Thomas Lewis of Myersville, Md., Mrs. Ceitta Smith of Hagerstown, Md.; Robert Kuhn, Chester J. Kuhn, Basil H. Kuhn, Ralph J. Kuhn all of Smithsburg, Md. Also surviving are sisters; Mrs. Minnie Bowman of Pleasant Valley; Mrs. Alice Wolfe of Pleasant Valley; Mrs. Ellie Lewis, of Thurmont, Md.; Mrs. Della Webster of Elmont, California; Mrs. Virgie Easton, of Rockford, Illinois. Mrs. Aldeline Green of Lantz, Md., brothers Harry E. Draper; John Draper and Edgar C. Draper all of Garfield, Md. 23 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm at Mount Bethel United Methodist Church in Garfield, Md. Rev. James Bissell officiating.

Burial will be at the Mount Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home in Smithsburg, Md., Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. The body will be in state at the church for one hour prior to Services on Sunday.
