Chester Calvin Kuhn, 55,
a life long resident of northern Middletown Valley, died at his home near Garfield, Monday morning after an illness of about two years from heart trouble, age 55 years.

Besides his widow, he is survived by six sons and seven daughters. Three sisters, Mrs. Cyrus Hayes, near Wolfsville. Mrs. Roman Wolfe and Mrs. Mathew Tracey of Smithsburg and one brother Asa Kuhn of Highfield, also survive.

The funeral was held Wednesday morning from the Mount Bethel Church, Garfield, with Rev. I. R. Stottlemyer, of the Church of the Brethren, officiating. Burial was made in the cemetery adjoining.
