Funeral services for Norman G. Preston, 83, of 448 Gladstone will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Osborn Funeral Home chapel.

Mr. Preston died Friday at Highland Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Dr. D. L. Dykes and the Rev. Jim Moore of First Methodist Church will officiate the services. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.

Mr. Preston, a native of Kansas City, Kan., had been a Shreveport resident since 1919. He was a retired accountant and office manager for Haynes Interests.

He was a member of the First Methodist Church and a life member of the W. H. Booth Lodge F&AM, Scottish Rite 32nd degree Mason and El Karubah Shrine Temple. He was a member of the Downtown Kiwanis Club, the Lowe-McFarlane Post [14] of the American Legion and Voiture No. [137] 40 & 8.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel Steinwinder Preston of Shreveport; two sons, Norman G. Preston Jr. of Norfolk, Va., and John Morris Preston of El Paso, Texas; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be J. B. Haynes Jr., W. Arch Haynes, Robert T. Anderson, E. E. Armstrong, Lewis Gregory and Rea J. Fox.
