Mom went to be with The Lord Nov.12, 1999 after an extended illness.
Born Dec.04, 1938 in Scher, W.V., she was the daughter of the late Norman H. and Gaye M. Likens-Pennington.
She is survived by her Husband Leroy C. Sowers.
She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Joseph "Joe Jr." Patterson, Jr., and two Grandsons, Randy and Ryan Champ.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Eleanor Marie Pennington, Varner and two brothers, Robert Allen Pennington and James Edward Pennington.
She is survived by three daughters, Diana (Robert) S. Biermann of Brighton, Mi., Geneva (Gary) D. Weirich of Mesa, Az. and Rosa M. Champ of Goshen, In., two sons, William A. "Bill" Champ of Howe, In. and Roger(Brenda) A. Champ, Sr. of Harpers Ferry, W.V.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren & one great-granddaughter.
Surviving are 4 sisters, Betty A. Hoover, Maysville,W.V.,Sherry M. Charlton, Edinburg, Va., Linda S. Pennington, Petersburg, W.V., and Wilma Arvilla, Edinburg, Il...and 3 brothers, Richard N. Pennington, Cabins, W.V., Roger L. and Russell L. Pennington, both of Petersburg, W.V.
Memorial Services were held at the Lighthouse Community Church, Maysville, which she was a member.
Graveside Services were conducted at the Maysville Cemetery.
