1988 Roy Walker (cousin) said John was killed in Abilene, Texas as he walked down the street. Roy said that John had killed a man, went to prison and the family of the man John had killed said they would get him when he got out of prison.
Billye Hudson (cousin) brought newspaper papers to the Walker Family reunion showing that John was ambushed as he walked down the streets of Abilene Texas ~~~ he was unarmed, but the men that killed him were aquitted.
