EAST BRUNSWICK- Richard J. Wilson (84) passed away Saturday, October 30, 2010 at St. Peters University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in Newark, Richard was a WWII Veteran with the US Marine Corps.
He resided in East Brunswick for the past 54 years. He was a communicant of St Thomas the Apostle Church where he did much of his volunteer work. He was an usher and a member and past President of the Holy Name Society, He was also a driver for the Homebound group. He was an avid bowler, volunteering for A.R.C. of NJ.
He is survived by his wife Marie Tyler Wilson of East Brunswick, his son Richard J Wilson and his partner Ray Becker of Collingswood, NJ, his 5 daughters, Patricia Crescenzo of East Brunswick, Kathleen King of Alexandria, VA, Marjorie Sherbert and husband Robert of Howell, Janet Wilson of East Brunswick, and Paula Sokolowsky and husband James of Spotswood, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 3 at 9:00 AM in the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge.
Burial will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick.
