Charlotte Estelle Husband was born January 2, 1919 in Brooklyn, New York. She was raised in the school for the blind. She accomplished much as she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brooklyn College with a B.A. Degree. She met her first husband Ross Griffithwhile they were getting guide dogs in New Jersey and were married in 1945 in Knox City. Charlotte and Ross moved to Cisco and Abilene but returned to Knox City in 1974 and he preceded her in death in 1977. Charlotte was married in 1979 to Rev. JamesPatterson, where he pastored the Methodist Church, he preceded her in death in 2008. Charlotte was a blessing to his ministry and the the whole town with her beautiful voice and Godly spirit. She was a member of the Easterm Star, Lions Club, Knox CityStudy Club and the First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, both husbands, 1 son Wendell Patterson, and two son-in-laws.
Charlotte is survived by daughters Julia Estelle Griffith of Waco, TX, Virginia McGuire and husband Harold of Irving, grandchildren Kent Patterson, Ricky Carver and wife Heather, Carolyn Parrish and husband Bill, Julia Clem and husband Josh, Jael Garciaand husband Martin, Will McNeely, daughter-in-law Joyce Patterson, 8 great grandsons, 2 great granddaughters, and another to be born soon and named for Charlotte
