Dr. Louise Clement, 77, of Keyport, died July 25 in Paoil, Pa., where she lived part of each year.




Born May 9, 1896 in Dillon, S. C., Dr. Clement earned a bachelor's degree from Winthrop College in Rock Hill, S. C., a masters from the University of Southern California, and a doctorate from the University of Washington.




She taught in Bremerton schools and later at Olympic College between 1938 and 1964. Organizer of a Family Life education program for the Bremerton district.




Dr. Clement was past president the Bremerton Business and Professional Women's Cllub, and a board member for the YWCA, Girl Scouts, and Community Concerts. She wass a member of the Administrative Women in Education, the Soroptimist Club, and Delta Kappa Gamma honorary society for women in education. She was a charter memeber, past county, president, state president and Northwest Regional director for Delta Kappa Gamma.




Survirors include a son, Mortimer, of Anchorage, Alaska; daughters, Dr. Lucia Clement of Arlington, Va.; Mrs. Thor (Sarah Louise) Johnson of Paoli, Pa.; and Mrs. Walter (Frances) McConnell of Keyport; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.




Funeral services and burial were held Saturday in Florence, S.C., under the direction of Stroudlemeir Funeral Home.
