Arlee Ernest Abbott
POMEROY - Arlee Ernest Abbott, 96, Pomeroy, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000 at Rocksprings Rehabilitation Center in Pomeroy.
He was born June 8, 1903 in Arlle, W.Va., son of the late Perry and Sarah Wamsley Abbott. He was a self-employed farmer, and was a member of the Rocksprings United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Edgar and Jane Abbott and Horace R. and Grace Abbott, all of Pomeroy; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Trecie Katherine Sharp Abbott; and by four brothers and a sister.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Fisher Funeral Home, Pomeroy, with the Rev. Keith Rader officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cheshire.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-9 p.m.
