Mrs. Emma Piercy Davis, age 64, widow of Tatum Davis, of Slickford, passed away Saturday, Feb. 21st at the Dishman Nursing Home at Murl.

Mrs. Davis was born August 4, 1894, a daughter of A.M and Mary Morgan Asberry. She is survived by six children being, Mrs. Hubert Dishman, Allardt, Tenn., Mrs. Lonnie Kennedy, Jamestown, Tenn., Essie Peercy, Sunnybrook; Ottis Piercy, Allardt, Tenn., Albert Peercy, Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Wales Davis, Slickford; one sister, Jane Davis, New Castle, Ind.; five brothers, Albert Asberry, Westfield, Ind., Ellis Asberry, Anderson, Ind., Ampie Asberry, Clinton, Ill., Everett Asberry Hidalgo and Silas Asberry, Monticello. Rt 4.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm Monday at the Pleasant Hill church, with Rev Isaac Hucaby officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill cemetery with the Richard Lee Funeral Home in charge.
