Inscription

SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF
POCAHONTAS
WIFE OF WM. JAMES
departed this life
May 15, 1878
aged 42 years
Affliction for years I bore
Physician were in vain.
At length God pleased to give me ease, and freed me from my pain.
So where the silent marble weeps,
A sister, wife and mother sleeps
A heart within whose sacred cell
The peaceful virtues loved to dwell.
Erected by her husband
Wm. James
