Alfreda Marie Kroh ("Fritzi")was born in Hillsdale, Mi 21 Aug 1917. She was the middle child of the three daughters of Alfred and Gladys (Burdick) Kroh. She married David Lester Reed 20 Apr 1935 in Highland Park, MI. After the death of her husband David, she married Ross Douglas Adair 16 Sep 1913.
The three Kroh sisters (or, "the three old Krohs" as they called themselves in later years)were very close and the best of friends.
Alfreda was fun-loving, creative, vivacious, and loved to learn. She raised 4 children with love and tenderness. Because she loved learning so much, we could never fake our way out of going to school. She would say, "Just get up and get dressed and come out for some breakfast and if you still don't feel good, you can stay home." Of course, by the time we got dressed, we automatically "felt better." She always made our breakfasts, which was usually pancakes in the shape of something – Mickey Mouse, an elephant, a bunny rabbit, or kitty-cat. I remember my childhood with fondness, which was mostly because of Mom. All of us have a value of learning because Mom believed in it so much. She actually got her GED at age 68!
After the death of her beloved husband David Reed, she married an old time friend, Ross Adair, however that marriage did not last.
