Survived by his wife, Jean Welch Cochran and children: Jay, Lori, and Lisa. His mother, Billie Handley. Brothers Steven and Robert Cochran. Half brothers: Josh, Jody, James, and Jack Jr. and half sisters: Julie, Jean, and Jade.
He was proceeded in death by his father John Leroy Cochran in 1980.

My Life is but a weaving
between my Lord and me;
