Elizabeth Hoover Gettier, 93, of Lower Paxton Twp., formerly of Berrysburg, died Friday in Community General Osteopathic Hospital.

She was a retired teacher from Penbrook Elementary School; a member of Colonial Park United Church of Christ, Harrisburg Humane Society and Auxiliary, U.S. Humane Society, Spay and Neuter Association, and Retired Teachers Association; a graduate of Lykens Valley Vocational School; and a former Miss Barringtons Teacher Training School of Harrisburg.

She was the widow of Charles H. Cumbler and Tolbert Gettier.
