Worley, Idaho, April 17 - Funeral services were held for David A. Mottern today at the Worley Baptist church. Burial was at the Rockford cemetery, Rockford, Wash. The Rev. Robert Pearson officiated.
Mr. Mottern died of a heart attack while working in his yard Saturday. He was born and reared at Rockford, where he attended school. He later attended Washington State college. He was a resident of Worley 21 years and was associated with his brother J. M. Mottern, in the grocery business.
Mr. Mottern was a naval veteran of World war I. He was a member of the Rockford Masonic Lodge and past patron of Norida Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, of Worley. He was active in politics and for several years was a Republican precinct committeeman.
Survivors include his brother James M. Mottern, Worley, and two sisters, Mrs. Alma Farnsworth, Spokane, and Mrs. Ella Fitch, Seattle.
The Jaeger funeral home of Fairfield, Wash., was in charge of arrangements."
