July 31,1927 - October 13,2010 Born from Benjamin and Carmen Valenzuela in Sonora, Mexico. She is survived by her husband, Robert Martin; her three sons, Martin, Benjamin and Rene; her six grandchildren, Josh, Amanda, Benny, Preston, Ashley and Cody; and her seven sisters and one brother. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Nick S. Emeterio; and two brothers, Benjamin and Samuel.
Carmen lived in the San Fernando Valley for over 40 years while being married to Nick. She retired from the aerospace industry after 30 years with Lockheed. Carmen being full of energy retirement was no option, so she went into the movie industry as an extra. Carmen was featured in many movies most of which are still playing today. After the death of her late husband Carmen moved to Santa Clarita to be closer to her children. Here is where she met her new life partner Robert L. Martin. Robert and Carmen were married January 8, 2007, both brought much joy to each others lives. Robert has become a very special important person in her family. Bob and Carmen traveled and enjoyed every moment of their lives together. Carmen was an incredible women full of energy, caring and generosity.
Please join us in celebrating her life. Viewing will be held Monday, October 18, 2010, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., with Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass Tuesday, October 19, 2010, 10:00 a.m., at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 1109 Coronel St., San Fernando. Interment to follow.
