He is the son of Walter Ray Wilkinson and Caroline Aune. He was born in Willow Ranch, Modoc County, California, and died in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. His father Walter Ray Wilkinson died in 1941 and at that time Lynard took over his fathers refrigeration business and ran it sucessfully until his death in 1978. He taught us three boys how to play baseball and bowl when we were young. After his death mom took over the refrigeration business until 1992 when she retired and turned the business over to my younger brother Robert.
