George A. Payne, 72, died in the Intensive Care Unit of Bradford Hospital.
He was born on Feb. 9, 1903, in Sigel, the son of the late Alexander and Nancy Anthony Payne. On July 3, 1926, he married the former Florence Ishman, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Mrs. Joan Pearson of Rochester, NY and Mrs. Nancy Moore of Wolf Run; two sons, Richard and Donald Payne, both of Bradford; six grandchildren; three brothers, Lee Payne of Bradford, David Payne of Bolivar, Ny and Ralph Payne of Punxsutawney; several nieces and nephews.
Burail will be in Bridgeview Cemetery, Mt. Jewett.
