Warren Chester Davis, 74, of Carthage, Mo, died at 11:24 a.m. August 30 1999 in Joplin, Mo.

Mr Davis was a Navy Veteran of World War II serving from 1944 to 1946. He, along with his wife owned and operated A-1 Storage, A-1 Fire works, and A-1 Vending in Carthage. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge A.F.& A.M. No 197, Carthage, American Legion Post No.9 and Abu-Ben-Adem Shrine, Springfield, Mo. Warren was a member of Fairview Christian Church, Carthage, Mo. On December 25,1965 he married Edna May Needham of Carthage. She survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Janet Shumny of Carthage, and two sons, Gene Davis of Carthage, and Wayne Davis of Deerfield, Il., stepdaughter Donna Carlson, Lees Summit, Mo, and a stepson Donavan Whitman, Carthage.

A sister, Myrtle Simms of Lamar, Mo. and a brother, Calvin Davis of Lamar, also survive.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Lester Davis, Joseph Davis, George Davis, Leland Davis and Oliver Davis,

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. and services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday Sept. 2, at Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at Park Cemetery, Carthage, Mo.
