Mr. Denison, 79, died Feb. 18, 2004, at his residence. He was born in Walthall County on Feb. 9, 1925, to Dean Denison and Jessie Ola Hall.

He was a retired school teacher. He was a member of Monticello Baptist Church. He was a member of Monticello Masonic Lodge, and Monticello Eastern Star. He was secretary of Lawrence County Democratic Party. He was past Superintendent of Education in Lawrence County. He was a member of Mississippi Association of Educators. He was past president of Mississippi Association of Educators of Copiah County.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and two brothers.

Survivors are his wife, Josie Denison of Monticello; his daughter, Elizabeth Ann Dickson of Monticello; his son, Dean Denison of Memphis; his sister, Mary Elizabeth Hobgood of New Orleans; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
