Thomas Francis Foley, 73, of 113 Third Ave., died at 8:33 a.m. yesterday in the Lawrence F. Flick Hospital, Cresson, after a lingering illness. A retired employee of the Armco Steel Corporation, he was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church. Born in Pottsville, Pa., Mr. Foley was a son of the late John and Bridgett Sheehan Foley. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ellen Graham Foley; seven sons, John Foley of Butler, Thomas of Meridian, James of Chicora, Vincent of Saxonburg, and Patrick, Donald and Gerald Foley at home; four daughters, Mrs. James (Catherine) Morrison of Grove City, Margaret Foley at home, Mrs. John (Bridgett) Bulford of Butler and Mrs. Peter (Florence) Cirillo of Grove City; a brother, James Foley of Philadelphia; a sister, Mrs. Anna McGovern of Pottsville; and 18 grandchildren. FOLEY – Friends of Thomas Francis Foley of 113 Third Ave., who died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1959, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Geible. Members of the Holey Name Society of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church will meet at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home to recite the rosary.

Proof of his birth in the town of Lorberry can be found in his WW I Draft Card where he wrote and signed to be true under oath. The distance between Lorberry and Pottsville is less than 14 miles.
