Nichole Paccio age 20, and Adaleigh Marie Paccio Varnell, infant of her and fiancé, Charles Varnell passed away at the Ashley County Medical Center. She was born in Crossett, AR to her parents, Roy Lynn Sanders and Shannon Marie Paccio Shaw. She was involved in the ROTC and was an avid swimmer. Austin enjoyed going to the movies and listening to music. She was a member of Beulahland Assembly of God Church.

Austin was preceded in death by great-grandfather, Wesley Ray Maxwell; great-grandmother, Audrey Marie Maxwell; great-grandfather Donald Walter Paccio; great-grandmother, Ella Marie Williams and grandfather, Lonnie Griffith.

Survivors include: her parents, Todd and Shannon Shaw of Crossett, AR, Roy and Benita Sanders of Irving, TX; her fiancé, Charles Varnell of Crossett, AR; three brothers, Chazz Rice of Hamburg, AR, Grayson Sanders of Irving, TX, Blake Shaw of Crossett, AR; two sisters, Kirstie Shaw of Crossett, AR, Chei McQuay of Mississippi; grandparents, Don and Darlene Paccio of Hamburg, AR, Edith Paccio of Crossett, AR, Patty Griffith of Fountain Hill, AR, Helen Outlaw of Crossett, AR, Johnny and Diane Shaw of Star City, AR; great-grandmother, Geneva King of Hamburg, AR; five aunts, Shelley Paccio of Crossett, AR, Samantha Griffith, Megan Griffith, Tressie Tucker, all of Fountain Hill, AR, Amy Hudson of Hamburg, AR; uncle, Lonnie Griffith Jr. of Fountain Hill, AR; nephew, Tyler Paccio and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Austin died from injuries suffered in an accident where Mark David Johnson, 48 deliberately struck the passenger side of a southbound 2007 Jeep Cherokee, in which his estranged wife, Heather Johnson, 35, along with Austin Paccio, were passengers, causing the vehicle to overturn and eject Paccio. Both Austin Paccio and her unborn daughter later died at the Ashley County Medical Center. Paccio was in her eighth month of pregnancy at the time of the accident. Paccio's mother was driving the vehicle, traveling south on Highway 52 toward EZ Mart when she saw Johnson's vehicle traveling north past the EZ Mart and the car wash. She further stated that she believed Johnson "gunned it' because she saw black smoke coming from the tail pipe. She said as she approached Norcross Pawn, Johnson's vehicle crossed into her lane, and she slowed and turned in an attempt to avoid his vehicle, but his truck collided in the center of the passenger side of her vehicle. She said that Johnson's vehicle never slowed. Johnson is accused of two counts of capital murder, one count of attempted capital murder and one count of aggravated assault.
