Mary Alice, 51, formerly of Wayland, N.Y. and currently of West Falls, passed away Monday (Sept. 27, 2010 after a battle with cancer.
Mary Alice was born Jan. 20, 1959 in Hornell, N.Y. the daughter of Brice & Jean (McCarthy) Sanford. She lived in Avon,N.Y. and attended St. Agnes Catholic School for a few years. Prior to fifth grade, Mary Alice and her family moved to Wayland where she attended St. Joseph's Catholic School and subsequently graduated from Wayland Central School in 1977. She also resided in Attica for several years. Mary Alice and Michael Repp were married August 15, 1992 and together they have celebrated over 18 years of marriage. Mary Alice and Michael have resided in West Falls their entire time together. She was employed as a legal secretary throughout the years at different law firms in Buffalo but most recently, Mary Alice was working for Goldberg and Cegalla, LLP.
Mary Alice was an avid reader and she was a NASCAR fan with Kasey Kahne being her favorite driver. She was a country music buff and she especially liked George Strait. She also had a unique love for her kittens. Mary Alice was a very special person that had many dear friends and family that loved her. She will be missed very much by all who knew her.
Mary Alice is survived by her husband, Michael Repp of West Falls; her step-son, Brandon Lohr; her parents, Brice and Jean Sanford of Wayland; her siblings, Mark (Sandy) Sanford of Wayland, Yvonne Sanford of Wayland, Chrissy Sanford of Geneseo and Kevin and (Lisa) Sanford of Wayland; two special cousins that were there to take care of her during her illness, Karen Hyland of Attica and Kate (Joe) Beszcynski of Attica; along with several nieces and nephews.
Mary Alice's family and friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at F.E. Brown Sons Funeral Home, 6575 East Quaker St., Orchard Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for her at 9:30a.m. Friday at St. George's roamn Catholic Church. 74 Old Glenwood Rd, West Falls.Local contributions in Mary Alice Repp's memory may be made to the Vincent House, 310 Second Ave., Wayland, N.Y. 14572. Mary Alice's family has been locally assisted by the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home, 109 West Naples St., Wayland.
