Mrs. John Ross died at her home on Sixth Street, at about 7 o'clock, on Friday morning of last week. she was nearly seventy years of age. Whitehall was her birthplace and she always resided here.
She became the wife of Mr. Ross about thirty-five year ago.
Two children survive, namely Sarah (Mrs. James Cayea) of Burlington, VT., and John Ross of Rutland, VT. Mr Ross, husband of the deceased, also survives. He had been quite ill of late, and obliged to relinquish his duties as engineer on the railroad, though his speedy recovery is hoped for.
The funeral was held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, from the Church of Our Lady of Angels and the interment was in Boardman cemetery.
Besides the son and daughter mentioned, there were present from out of town Messrs. T.H. Brown and J. P. Ryan; Mrs. Henry Brown and Mrs. Pistol all of Rutland.

Beside her husband she is survived by one son and one daughter. The funeral was held Sunday from the church of Our Lady of Angels at 2 o'clock, and interment was in Boardman cemetery. Mass was held Monday morning at 9 o'clock.
