THERESA IRENE ZELE
GEORGIA, Vt. / TORRINGTON, Conn. -- Theresa Irene Zele, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, in Redstone Villa Nursing Facility surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Baltimore, Md. on Oct. 14, 1915, the daughter of Edward and C. (Schmidth) Flugrad. Theresa was married to Joseph H. Zele who predeceased her in 1983.
Theresa retired in 1987 after 20 years as innkeeper for The Terry Lodge in Isle LaMotte, Vt. She was a member of the Ascension Church in Georgia, Vt.
Survivors include her two daughters; a brother, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren
Besides her husband, Joseph, she was predeceased by a son, Joseph R. Zele; a sister Marge Morrissey of Torrington, Conn.; and a nephew, Harold Morrissey.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, at 9 a.m. from St. Francis Church in Torrington, Conn. Interment will follow in the Old St. Francis Cemetery in Torrington. It was Theresa's wish that there will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Club Respite, 178 McGinn Drive, St. Albans, Vt. 05478; or the Vermont Association for the Blind, 37 Elmwood Ave., Burlington, Vt. 05401-4390; or Redstone Villa, 7 Forest Hill Drive, St. Albans, Vt. 05478; or any Humane Society.
