He was raised in Carroll Gardens and resided in Middletown, New Jersey. Anthony was a graduate of John Dewey High School and a graduate of New York University. He was a senior vice president for Fiduciary Trust International in the South Tower. Anthony became a devoted husband to Lisa when they married and was a loving and dedicated father to Jessica and Nicole.

His mother-in-law, Felicia Hamilton, was born on Tuesday, June 20, 1939 in Nusco, Italy. She was brought to America when she was 13 and lived in the same house in Queens for over 40 years. Felicia spent most of her working life at Manufacturers Hanover Trust but spent the last few years as a supervisor at Fiduciary Trust in the South Tower. She was an incredible mother to Walter and Lisa, a loving grandmother to Jessica and Nicole and an all-around amazing human being.

Lisa was really not up to a blind date but fate stepped in and a wonderful life began. He was such a wonderful man and quite the gentlemen. Nor many thirty year olds would open a car door for a woman or walk on the traffic side of a street but you did. One of the things that still make her smile today, it's the way you made me laugh. They were silly inside jokes but ones that I still smile at privately. It is so hard to believe that 10 years have passed because in some ways the heartache feels like yesterday and in others I can't believe that we as a family survived your absence.

He loved his family. Some of the most prized memories were watching him with his daughters. His wife still remembers standing on the basement stairs, watching quietly, as he danced with Jessica and Nicole. Through her teary eyes, she was envisioning him as he danced to Daddy's Little Girl on their wedding day. Anthony would have deserved the honor of that dance. The girls are often reminded of the things he did with them. They were so little, only one year old and three years old, but love knows no age and they still feel his presence in their hears. Anthony used to come home from work at Fiduciary Trust each night and put your briefcase down. The girls would be waiting for you in Jessica's bedroom. He would start running at the end of the hallway and slide into her room. Once he got there you would leap onto the bed. The giggles were precious! This was a nightly occurrence. This may seem silly to the reader but it is a memory that will always linger. Each weekend morning, Jessica would climb out of her bed and find him in the computer room. Lisa used to stay in bed with Nicole so each of us could have our quality time. Who knew that the sands of the hourglass where moving so fast. Nicole knew how to play you so you would carry her around. But Lisa knew he loved doing it. There are many things that brought her joy during the year. She smiled each time she thought about them cutting down and decorating the Christmas tree. He knew how important that was for her knowing that she never did that as a child. Anthony was all about family; declaring weekends as family time. Only he would take a 20 mile bike ride beginning at 7 AM so he could be home and ready to start your day with his family. It was all about the simple things. The family knew they came first and were thankful for that. Anthony would be so proud of the girls and who they are today. They are so much like him. Jessica loves to read. She always has a book in her hand. Nicole is Lisa's handyman-always putting things together or taking things apart. That was who Anthony was. There was nothing that he did not think he could fix.

One of the things that he was admired the most was the love for his mother-in-law Felicia. He never saw her as a threat or as an inconvenience. She was welcomed into our home and into their lives. It is no wonder that she loved him the way she did. Lisa was happy knowing that they were both working for the same company. And it is no wonder that he sacrificed your safety to go and get Felicia on that tragic day. Lisa knew when she was told that he was last seen going up the stairwell that he was on his way to get her and knew that was never a choice but a given. Losing them both on that fateful day was beyond pain but knowing that they were together when their lives ended brought Lisa some source of comfort. That was selfless. And to be honest, Felicia would have done the same. Both of them had such a courageous and honorable character. And his mother Margaret, she thought that the sun raised and set on you. When she was sick with cancer there was not a day that went by that he was not there for her or his father Dominic. Her remission was due partly to the love and support of her son. Unfortunately losing him, cost them their lives as well. His brothers, Christopher and Louis still talk about you with honor. They loved you so much that they keep us in their lives. Their presence is such a gift in so many ways.

Life is different than how she envisioned it. So much has changed but they managed to carve out a blessed life. He was and continue to be a source of hope, inspiration and of love. God gave them the time that they had. He will continue to live in the hearts, souls and minds that he touched. Anthony will always be loved and prayed that he and mom are in peace and watching over their family as they live this life that God has decided them to live.

His actual burial is in Middletown.
