Anna L. SWEANY, 80, 624 Fulton Ave., died at 11:56 p.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Hospital. She was born in Savannah, Ga. to John and Nancy HANKS BRUNING. On Nov. 18, 1945, in Savannah, Ga., she married Douglas M. SWEANY, who survives. She had been a resident of Rochester for the past 50 years, coming from Savannah, Ga. She was formerly employed by the Rochester Commnity School System in the Food Services Department. She was a member of the Evergreen Rebekah Lodge, Rochester.
Surviving with her husband are one daughter, Mrs. Randy (Elaine) BAUGHER, Rochester, Douglas and wife (Carol) COURSEY, Jackson, Mich.; Ron and wife (Melodie) SWEANY, Rochester; and John and wife (Linda) SWEANY, Plymouth; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret BRODMANN, Savannah, Ga.; and Ellen SILLS, Chatsworth, Ga. Preceding in death was one brother, John BRUNING.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Sam BENNETT officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m Thursday and from noon through the hour of services on Friday at the funeral home.
