Mildred Iris HUDKINS, 89, 748 W. Monticello Road, died at 10:42 a.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Hospital. She had been ill for six months and had been at Life Care Center of Rochester since Feb. 9.
She was born near Kewanna to David and Ellen KILE BROOKER. She lived most of her life in Fulton County. On Oct. 23, 1923 in St. Joseph, Mich. she married William Judson HUDKINS, who died March 16, 1975. She attended Grace United Methodist Church and was a charter member of 31 Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Mary Ellen) GEORGE, Naperville; six sons, Richard HUDKINS, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; Virgil HUDKINS and John HUDKINS, both of Rochester; Donald HUDKINS, Sabastian, Fla.; George HUDKINS, North Little Rock, Ark.; Jerry HUDKINS, Carthage, Mo.; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a niece, Lois CRILL, Kewanna. Preceding in death were six sisters and a brother.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Jack HARTMAN officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. through the hour of service on Wednesday.
