MAXINE ELIZABETH DUFF

Graveside services for Maxine Elizabeth Duff, 70, were held Dec. 30 at the Horseshoe Cemetery near Glendo with Jim Wilson officiating.

Mrs. Duff, a resident of Glendo, died Dec. 20, 2006 at Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland.

She was born March 10, 1936, in Laramie, the daughter of Andy and Ada (Miller) Robinson. She was reared and educated in Laramie, and graduated from the University Prep School in 1954. She was married to Martin Lee Duff, the love of her life, on Feb. 13, 1955, in Douglas at the Methodist Church. She worked with Martin on the farm and ranch near Glendo, and later she drove a school bus for the Glendo school system. She loved bowling, cats and playing cards, especially pinochle with her friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Martin, of Glendo; children, Marlene and husband Mike Pexton of Torrington, Monte and wife Tami Duff of Glendo, Michael and wife Dawn Duff of Wright, and Mitzi and husband Greg Mudgett of Wheatland; six grandsons; and one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers were Cory Pexton, Trent Pexton, Levi Duff, Logan Duff, Wiley Duff, Andy John Duff, and Chelsey Mudgett. Honorary pallbearers were all of her friends.

A memorial to the Converse County Breast Cancer Task Force in care of Memorial Hospital of Converse County, Wellness Department, 111 S. 5th St., Douglas; or to the Glendo Ambulance, P.O. Box 396, Glendo, 82213, would be appreciated by the family.

Gorman Funeral Homes--Converse Chapel of Douglas was in charge of arrangements.
