C. B. MEGUIRE KILLED IN RAILWAY ACCIDENT NEAR MUSKOGEE, OKLA.
C. B. "Shanty" Meguire, a former Victorian, aged about 50 years, was killed in a railway wreck near Muskogee, Oklahoma, yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock.
Mr. Meguire was employed here many years by the Southern Pacific Railway serving that system as yardmaster, brakeman and conductor. He went from this city to Tyler about 15 years ago and later located to Witchita Falls where he resided. He was conductor on the MK&T [Missouri Kansas and Texas] Railway at the time of his death.
The decedent is survived by his wife, who was formerly Miss Elizabeth Wilkerson, the sister of Henry Wilkerson of this city.
The body will arrive here tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Wilkerson residence at East Common Street. Rev. Paul Ebert, pastor of the English Lutheran Church to officiate. Interment will be made in the Evergreen Cemetery.

TWO ARE KILLED AND CREMATED IN FREIGHT WRECK IN OKLAHOMA
MANGUM, Ok. Feb. 12 -
C. B. Meguire, conductor, and W. F. Brown, brakeman, were instantly killed and their bodies cremated as the result of a rear-end collision on the Wichita Falls Northwestern line four miles south of this city early Sunday morning.
Extra freight train No. 914 northbound stopped for water just south of Magnum and extra freight train No. 558 also northbound crashed into the rear. Cabooses of both trains were demolished and the derailed woodwork on 558 immediately caught fire, burning the bodies of Meguire and Brown.
J. W. Parker and E. R. Loften, firemen and engineer on No. 914 suffered the loss of a leg and internal injuries, respectively. Jack Brazier, fireman on train No. 558 suffered a crushed foot. All the injured have been brought to a local hosptial.
Engineer Bailey on train No. 558 saved his life by jumping sustaining a sprained ankle.
