Died at DeVall's Bluff, Arkansas Post Hospital. * DeVall's Bluff, Arkansas Post Hospital Muster Roll Card # 27, dated September 6, 1864 shows Admitted to General Hospital at DeVall's Bluff, Arkansas and DIED September 19, 1864 In Post Hospital at DeVall's Bluff, Arkansas of Fever. Also stated: Bugler of Company "E", 8th Regiment Missouri Volunteer Cavalry. - There is a Final Statement in His File that states: Died September 23, 1864! Yet, a Certificate says/states: Died September 19, 1864. - Minor Discrepancies shown by Different Clerks! * The Battle of Little Rock, Arkansas is Dated as: September 10-13, 1864. - DeVall's Bluff, Arkansas is East of Little Rock, close to the State Line on the White River. He was stationed at Fort Geiger. One of -4- Forts in the area. – Ralph Biggs
