Jerry N. Back, 71, of Arcadia, passed away at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville on Thursday, September 30, 2010 after a brief illness. He was born to the late Otis Back and Mattie (Griffin) Back Flynn on September 13, 1939.
Jerry was a chemical salesman for Merck & Co., Calgon Division, for 27 years. He owned Back Supply Company for 18 years prior to his retirement. Jerry attended Cicero Christian Church, collected old cars, enjoyed traveling, being with family and spending time in Destin, FL.
He married M. Marie McDaniel on August 10, 1958. She survives him. He is also survived by son, Glen (wife Brenda) Back; daughter, Victoria (husband Mark) Cowan; three grandchildren, Amber Back, Eli and Olivia Cowan.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, four brothers, step-father, his father-in-law and two brothers-in-law. Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 3, 2010, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1685 Westfield Rd, in Noblesville, with Pastor Glenn McDaniel officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, October 3, 2010, from 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm.
Burial will be on Monday, at Cicero Cemetery.
