SPRAGUE, Ronald E. age 67 of Miamisburg, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at his residence. Ronald was born April 24, 1943 in Miamisburg, Ohio to the late Francis and Ruby (Gray) Sprague.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his loving wife of 38 years Barbara (Weidner) Sprague and parents-in-law, Bud and Dorothy Weidner. He is survived by his daughter, Ronda Sprague; sister, Denise Sprague both of Miamisburg and numerous other family and friends.
Ron was a member of the Miamisburg High School Class of 1961; but graduated from Council Grove High School in Kansas because of his family's relocation. Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of American Legion Post #165, the Honor Guard and the VFW in West Carrollton. His memberships include Miamisburg Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Antioch Shrine, Miamisburg Moose Lodge and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Ron was Director of Mound Museum and volunteered at the Miamisburg Historical Society and Helping Hands. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. He worked at Monsanto as a Lab Technician for over thirty years before retiring.
