Geraldine M. Mowers, of Albert Lea, MN, died on Tues., April 9, 2002.
Funeral services were held on Sat., April 13, 2002, at the United Methodist Church in Ellendale, Minn. Burial was in the Sunset Rest Cemetery in Northwood, IA.
Geraldine was born in Dumont, IA, on May 17, 1926, to David and Hazel (Johnson) Mowers. She graduated from Corwith, IA in 1945 and from La James Beauty School in 1946.
On April 22, 1948, she was united in marriage to Dale Mowers. Geraldine and Dale made their home for many years in Ellendale, MN. More recently they resided in Albert Lea, MN. They wintered in Texas for 18 years.
Geraldine was a member of the Naomi Circle and the Ellendale United Methodist Church of Ellendale, MN.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters (including Marion Nall and Dorothy Robison); three brothers; and one grandaughter.
She is survived by her husband, Dale of Albert Lea, MN; three sons, James of San Diego, CA, Kurt and wife, Gayle of Brainerd, MN, and Craig and wife Karen of Albert Lea, MN; two daughters, Judy Lestrud and husband, Howard of Lino Lakes, MN, and Cindi Hansen and husband, Darrell of Blooming Prairie, MN; eleven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Geraldine was an aunt of David Nall.
